Call In The Professionals When You Find A Baldfaced Hornet’s Nest
The spring and summer months are upon us. The weather is turning warmer, and the days are great for getting outside to play, do some yard work, or whatever. Although people like doing things outdoors during this time, they must be careful while they are out and about. There are numerous kinds of flying insects that can turn their day in the sun into a nightmare. For instance, Asian tiger mosquitoes are regularly flying around during the daytime looking for a blood meal.
This pattern is unusual as the majority of other species tend to only come out at dusk or dawn. Not these mosquitoes though. With any luck, receiving a bite from an Asian tiger mosquito will only result in an itchy raised welt on the skin. However, these pests are known carriers of diseases around the world. In the United States, they have been found infected with LaCrosse encephalitis viruses and West Nile virus. So, one of your family members could become ill.

Another Flying Insect Issue That May Arise
Baldfaced hornets are related to Hornets in name only. These menaces are actually yellow jackets. They are black, white, and grow to between 5/8 and 3/4 of an inch in length. The Baldfaced hornets build paper, sphere-shaped nests that are gray in color. Sometimes, these dens are built at ground level around shrubs. In other instances, they are found 60′ high in trees. However, it is not uncommon for the nests to get attached to houses, sheds, and utility poles as well.
The flying, stinging insects are aggressive attackers when they feel as if an animal or human is a threat to their nest. Therefore, it is likely not a good idea to try do-it-yourself pest control with these bugs. Instead, schedule exterminator service to rectify the situation. Baldfaced hornets have smooth stingers that allow them to attack over and over again without becoming harmed. Also, they usually strike in large numbers. So, the victim can get a hefty dose of the venom in a hurry, which may lead to increased swelling and an adverse allergic reaction. It is best to contact our exterminator service and avoid all those painful stings.
